Clinic Mission and Business Principles

The quality policy at MediClin Robert Janker Clinic is grounded in our mission and business principles as well as our quality goals. Our policy is laid down through the description of standards, service instructions and processes.

Our clinic mission and principles were developed and passed by our leadership committee, taking impulses, suggestions and concerns of patients and staff in to consideration.

Our quality policy is imparted and communicated through a variety of ways:

  • All staff members are involved in the development of standards and processes.
  • The clinic management has established a quality officer and a quality group with quality coordinators for each specialist division. The members of the quality group take on the responsibility for communicating the quality policy of our clinic to all staff members.
  • When necessary, we hold information meetings and workshops on quality management for the entire staff or for the quality coordinators.
  • The quality coordinators monitor in consultation with the quality officer, whether staff members are working with the Quality Management Handbook in their daily work.

We at the MediClin Robert Janker Clinic work and act according to the following principles:

Patients – the centre of our attention
Individual care of our patients is at the centre of our attention and activity. The mental and physical burdens of a hospital or clinic stay should be reduced as much as possible for the patient. The modern facilities of our clinic and the service orientation of our entire staff are geared toward meeting the individual wishes of our patients and creating a comfortable atmosphere.

Our goal is, with regard to all patients in our care:

  • to respect them as persons, to regard them with dignity and to respond to their wishes,
  • to help understand and overcome their illness,
  • to guarantee top-quality medical work at the most up-to-date scientific level for the benefit of the patient,
  • to include them as a partner in the treatment process,
  • to ensure a holistic treatment in a pleasant environment,
  • to offer the highest quality in a specialised clinic.

Cost-effectiveness and continuous improvement
We ensure our level of performance through cost-effective, economic approaches as well as regular monitoring and improvement of our structures and processes.

We achieve this through:

  • open communication between all professional groups,
  • setting up and holding quality meetings in order to continuously optimise work procedures,
  • regularly conducted patient surveys, team training and supervision of our staff.

Strategy and cooperation
We work to be a competent and reliable partner to the referring clinics, general practitioners and specialist physicians in private practice and cost-bearing institutes (i.e. health insurance providers), who expect a high level of quality with cost-effectiveness.

We also work with partners in models of cooperation such as other clinics, rehabilitation clinics, specialist physicians and mobile nursing services in order to provide our patients with tightly knit network of specialists and comprehensive, holistic care.

Staff – we care
In order for our patients to feel comfortable, we expect of our staff a high degree of flexibility as well as technical and social skills and dedication. We place a high value on making sure patients feel they are being treated as individual persons. This should be promoted above all through the enhance technical-medical competency of our staff and flat hierarchies. Additionally, staff in leadership positions should be available as a contact person for all matters at any time. This way, the patient will have the security of a social net and will at no time be left alone with her or his questions, concerns or fears.

Indeed, qualified and dedicated staff members make it possible to put our common goals into practice.

    Medicine – modern, innovative and humane
    We practice state-of-the-art, innovative medicine. Our patients are cared for through a large share of specialist physicians who cooperate on an interdisciplinary basis. This in turn enhances the quality of medical treatment further. Moreover, we keep up to date on the state-of-the-art in medicine through ongoing research and publications as well as regular participation in scientific studies. The clinical guidelines are complemented by the clinical and care pathways published by the corresponding medical sub-field associations.

    Quality – cost-effective and environmental
    Environmental awareness is self-evident for us since the environment has substantial influence on everyone’s health. Through pollution avoidance, waste separation and conscious usage of energy and water, we work environmentally and economically at the same time. Accordingly, we adhere strictly to the guidelines proposed by the Germany Radiology Society (DRG).

    Referrers and Insurers – close and trusty cooperation
    Our clinic maintains regular contact with the doctors referring patients. Treatment takes place in close consultation and cooperation with the referrer in the treatment plan. This cross-sector, transparent and interregional coordination gives patients confidence that they are receiving the best possible treatment.

    Furthermore, cooperation between our clinic and the insurers or other cost-carriers is likewise based on partnership and mutual trust. We offer them a highly specialised spectrum of treatments in a regional and interregional area.

    Leadership – clearly defined and transparent
    Our leaders strive to define clear goals for our clinic and, in doing so, to include all staff members in the decision-making process. This goal-oriented communication, in turn, facilitates more transparency and broader acceptance of the concept accordingly. Teamwork between the various specialist groups in our institute comes naturally. Particularly important for our clinic and its leaders as well is to have staff who are motivated, take initiative and assume responsibility.
