We appreciate your consideration of a treatment at the MediClin Robert Janker Clinic in Bonn. Prior to taking advantage of our state-of-the-art medical care, there are some formal necessities to take into account. The following steps will guide you through the process of hospital admission.
Medical history, second opinion and contact
In order to provide you with a rapid answer for your concern, it is useful to have as much information about your medical history, prior treatments, images and your special needs. Contact the IPS Managing Coordinator at 00 49 228 5306-161 or via Email. You can also make an online appointment request by completing the Online Appointment form. You will find the document on the right side of our website.
Cost, payment and arrangements
Provided that our doctors have agreed on a treatment, we will send you a detailed cost estimate based on the available information. This would also be the right time to let us know whether you are planning to have any persons accompanying you.
Our cost estimate also informs you about circumstances that could cause an increase of the amount stated, e.g. when unforeseen complications appear or services of a third party company are necessary. For special arrangements (e.g. chief physician treatment), special eligibility contracts can be provided. Before your arrival, you are obliged to transfer an advance payment on our account, which is stated on the detailed cost estimate. You will receive a written confirmation about your admission date and cost estimate, which is a prerequisite to receiving your visa from the responsible authority. Meanwhile, we prepare and look forward to your arrival in Bonn. After your treatment we will calculate all expenses based on the actual cost and provide you with a detailed invoice. Outstanding costs need to be balanced before you leave our hospital. Should your advance payment have exceeded the actual expenses for your treatment, the remaining amount will be transferred instantly to your account.
Visa
Citizens of an EU member state do not require a visa to enter the Federal Republic of Germany. If you are not a citizen of an EU country, you can find a detailed description on visa requirements and whether you will need a permit on the homepage of the German Federal Foreign Office (Auswaertiges Amt). You can find more information in the link list. Should you encounter difficulties in obtaining a visa, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be glad to assist.
Cost Coverage with S2-Form (former E112-form)
If you are coming from an EU country, you can request from your insurer to cover the costs. Policyholders in a statutory insurance plan in the EU are entitled to seek cross-border treatment when medically necessary and/or the treatment is not feasible in the country of residence. Please note that you are required to request the reimbursement of costs prior to the beginning of treatment. To find out more about the S2-Form (E-Form 112), you can download the S2-Form on the right side of the website.
