Dedicated to the name by tradition
The MediClin Robert Janker Clinic is named after its founder, the radiologist and surgeon Professor Dr. Robert Janker. Robert Janker started his medical career in 1922 in Munich, where he began assisting renowned internists and surgeons. Soon after, he became the assistant to Henri Chaoul, head of the radiology department of the Surgical Clinic Munich, before following Baron Erich Redwitz to Bonn in 1928 in order to build a radiology department at his surgical clinic.
In 1937, Janker founded a private radiology institute in Bonn, where he added a hospital after the war. From there, the Janker Clinic was to grow into a leading specialised clinic, which has been part of the MediClin association of clinics since 2001.
The MediClin Robert Janker Clinic builds upon our tradition with over 70 years experience for diagnostics and treatment of cancer patients. The hospital continues its commitment to the success and good reputation of its founder.
